St.Giles Triptych - Sold
Pat Buckle
Width (open) 306 x 258 x 20mm
Acrylic Paint on Wood
Although this altarpiece is sold, Pat Buckle is available on commision and can paint a work simliar in style and iconography to this work (although no two works will be identical), or create a piece featuring your saint of choice based on another manuscript style.
The imagery in this St Giles Triptych is based both stylistically and iconographically on miniatures in Gaston Phoebus' Book of the Hunt. Like many private devotional works from the Medieval period its portability is enhanced by the fact that the outer panels fold shut, thereby protecting the painted images inside.
